To show that that life is all about care
And allows folk to know you are ready to share
In their times of sadness worry and woe
When they feel they have no-where to go
For a listening ear, a gentle touch
Can ease the hurt and pain so much
So please show concern for others that live
There is no cost to this service we give
Remember that one day you might need too
A shoulder to cry on with no-one who
Has time to notice your trouble and strife
And your need for a friend to help with life
So look at a face and see what it shows
Behind that look no-one knows
A fixed expression could be hiding much pain
